Bahrain will play Kuwait today in their third and last league game of the 2023 Hong Kong Quadrangular Twenty20 series at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok.
Both teams are out of contention for tomorrow’s final – which will be played by Hong Kong and Malaysia – after having lost their first two matches each but will treat this as a dress rehearsal for the third-place play-off, which will be played before the final.
Bahrain lost their opening game to Hong Kong by 15 runs last Wednesday before going down to Malaysia by 53 runs on Thursday while Kuwait were beaten by three wickets by Malaysia in their opening match before losing to Hong Kong by 11 runs, also on Thursday.
The two finalists will also play each other today in their last league game, enabling them to size each other up ahead of tomorrow’s title clash.
