SIXTEEN winners of a nationwide science contest have been announced.
The Sastra Pratibha Contest was organised by the Science India Forum Bahrain and Vijnana Bharati India (the Indian national science movement) and supported by the Indian Embassy and the Indian Space Research Organisation.
It featured 8,087 students from eight schools in Bahrain and the results were announced by embassy second secretary Anand Prakash at the embassy in Adliya.
The winners were Chakradhara Chowdhary, Kapil Kavitha, Brindha Arumugasamy (Asian School), Navaneet Anilkumar (Al Noor International), Steffy Ann Philip, Jagath Jeevan Sha (Indian School), Ravi Kumar, Advait Vaze, Ansh Katyayan, Sama Walke, Tushya Kalpada, Varun Ajith and Bhanuram Balusu (The New Millennium School-DPS Bahrain), Kizhakoot Devika Babu and Gowtham Krishna N S (New Indian School) and Piyush Rajesh (Bahrain Indian School).
The winners will have the opportunity to visit prominent scientific institutions in India and interact with senior scientists.
