Clothes collection containers will be removed from Oman's streets, Muscat Municipality has announced.
Issuing approvals for placing used clothing collection containers in public places in Muscat will also be suspended, it said.
The municipality also called on all committees, associations and institutions who have containers that were previously licensed to remove them within one year.
The move is the result of the accumulation of containers at street entrances and in residential neighbourhoods.
