Work to start on new BD5m corniche
State-of-the-art would be a completely green and environment-friendly corniche, with lots of green and natural areas, sea access, etc ratherthan paved-for parking and ‘investment’... Investment in nature is the state-of-the-art required.
@environmanbahrain
Keep in mind that we live in a desert and that plants need to be watered and having too many of them would have a reverse affect on ‘being good for the environment’.
@ma.alqaseer
Great, would you please tell that to the responsible amazing ‘plant planting and died but still be watered’ campaign? Maybe some research would be good as Bahrain was known as the island of a million palm trees and has now maybe 250,000 only. Hence paving areas will not help at all, but planting local natural plants which will be by time self sustainable ... nature does not need humans; humans need nature ... simple.
@environmanbahrain
Nothing can beat Manama corniche of the 90s.
@siddique90
Waste of money, spend more on housing. Many are waiting.
@ghazallatif
True, been waiting for over 10 years now.
@_dorvoi
What’s the use when it will be handed over to a private company.
@i_k_han
MPs urged to back their proposals with sources of funding
Seems bluntly no to all their proposals.
@rosesmiles4all
OMG, why do they need a salary increase?
@chickadee1975
Apparently 4k one month isn’t enough for them.
@oe_gamings
Why not hire more valuable locals to the council?
