Pupils and parents have rallied together to raise funds for the Bahrain Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) which is at risk of closing down after 40 years of supporting strays.
St Christopher’s Primary and Senior Schools raised BD3,578 thanks to a bake sale as well as through monetary donations from a ‘no uniform day’.
The cheque handover, which included head of Infant School Nat Dickinson, principal Dr Simon Watson, head of senior school Yasmine Danawy and BSCPA fundraiser Rachel Gibson, was held at the Saar campus.
Large amounts of cat and dog food were also donated along with other pet essentials.
