The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) enhanced its Health Product Registration Renewal service through an updated electronic system that enables the submission of renewal applications and completion of procedures electronically, as part of government efforts to improve service quality and re-engineer services.
The enhanced service has reduced the application processing time from 15 to 10 working days, the number of required documents from 12 to four, and the application process from four steps to three. The number of approvals required to obtain the service has also been reduced by 25 per cent.
Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, chief executive officer of the NHRA, said that the enhanced service reflects the Authority’s adoption of innovative digital solutions and re-engineering of its procedures to improve efficiency and processing times, facilitate health product registration renewal procedures, and meet the requirements of institutions and those dealing with the Authority.
Dr Al Ansari added that the updated electronic system helps simplify health product registration renewal procedures and accelerate application processing, enhancing service quality and the beneficiary experience.
As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, with 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors.
These efforts were based on proposals and feedback received on government services through the National Suggestions and Complaints System ‘Tawasul’, investor feedback and mystery shopper reports assessing government services, in addition to the introduction of guidelines and service level agreements, contributing to greater procedural efficiency, improved service quality, an enhanced beneficiary experience, and support for the government’s digital transformation.
