The Deputy King has highlighted the Bahrain Defence Force’s (BDF) role in promoting development, defending the kingdom’s sovereignty and national interests, and strengthening regional and international security and stability, alongside international allies.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa made the statement yesterday as he visited the General Command of the BDF, accompanied by Major Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He was received by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Nuaimi and other senior officers.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s ongoing support for the BDF.
He paid special tribute to BDF martyrs for their sacrifices in safeguarding Bahrain and its citizens, and said their honourable sacrifices will remain etched in the kingdom’s history.
The Deputy King reiterated the importance of uniting Team Bahrain’s efforts in support of the kingdom’s comprehensive development to ensure that Bahrain remains a peaceful, safe and progressive country.
He was briefed on the BDF’s plans and programmes implemented to bolster combat readiness and efficiency across operational, training and logistical fields.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the BDF members for being active partners of Team Bahrain, upholding the kingdom’s national interests with integrity, honour and courage.
