A dog walker passing by the window of a yoga studio mistook people performing shavasana (corpse pose) for a 'ritual mass murder', and called the police.
According to reports, police were called to the North Sea Observatory in Lincolnshire, UK after several dog walkers reported a ‘potential large-scale criminal event’.
The police were eventually able to confirm that everyone in the class was well.
Abbie Mills, the yoga teacher taking the class, said she initially thought the reports of her being a mass murderer were a joke.
She admitted how the class might have looked suspicious to an outsider though.
She said, "They're [students] lying down with blankets over them; their eyes are closed. It's very dark in there. I just had candles and little tea lights lit the whole room, and I was just walking around playing my drum. I had a nice floaty top on with large bell sleeves."
The Lincolnshire Police later said after investigating they found that everyone was safe and well, acknowledging that the emergency call had been made with good intentions.
