Emergency teams from different ministries doubled their efforts to deal with flooding across Bahrain following heavy downpours on Thursday morning.
The Ministry of Works, Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Electricity and Water Authority and Interior Ministry’s concerned directorates worked until the early hours of yesterday morning to clear water-logged areas across the four governorates of the kingdom.
The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture posted tens of photos that showed the emergency teams clearing water and fallen billboards.
The Meteorological Directorate reported that rainfall measurement stations showed precipitation of 1.6mm on Thursday at Bahrain International Airport, 0.0mm at King Fahad Causeway, 12.5mm at Sitra, 0.2mm at Durrat Al Bahrain, 0.0mm at Bahrain International Circuit, 40.2mm at Howrat Aali and 22.6mm at Budaiya.
