Sustainability Forum Middle East (SFME), a regional platform dedicated to driving net-zero and nature-positive solutions, has announced a high-level lineup of speakers for its upcoming roundtable next month.
Titled ‘Green Mobility and the Growth of Mena’s EV Market,’ the event is set to take place next Monday at Infracorp, Harbour House from 3pm to 5pm.
The first of the forum’s 2024 Decarbonisation Roundtable Series, the event is being held in partnership with 1st Motors, a leading EV dealer in Bahrain, and Infracorp as a lead and venue partner.
The roundtable will address the pressing need for decarbonising the transportation sector and the pivotal role of electric vehicles (EVs) in achieving regional net-zero emissions targets.
The panel of experts includes Infracorp director of development Abdulaziz Tawfeeqi, Braxtone Group chairman and chief executive Ayman Alajmi, Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) renewable energy specialist Ali Salman, Bapco Energies vice-president-portfolio management and corporate development Dr Hassan Al Mulla, and NGN International head of IoT solutions Sharat Faqurudheen.
The session will be moderated by KPMG head of markets Kal Subramanian. Panelists will address the global challenge posed by transport-related emissions and regional efforts and progress in driving sustainable mobility solutions, including ever growing demand from Mena consumers for electric mobility.
Experts will also explore the necessary actions and collaborations to support the adoption of electric mobility, with a focus on EV technology, charging infrastructure, and policy frameworks.
