Tamkeen is supporting the participation of 15 Bahraini food and beverage businesses at the Saudi Food Show, the largest international food and beverage exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
More than 1,000 exhibitors, including leading restaurant brands, food and beverage manufacturers from 97 countries, and more than 80 renowned chefs, are expected to attend the event.
The three-day exhibition started yesterday at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Centre, providing a key platform for Bahraini companies to showcase their products and services.
Participating firms will gain industry insights, exchange best practices, and forge connections with industry leaders. Major brands like IFFCO Group, Bidfood, and Lactalis Group will be present, alongside events showcasing innovative F&B concepts and emerging culinary talents.
“Backing Bahraini businesses at this show underscores our commitment to enhancing their global competitiveness,” said Tamkeen chief executive Maha Mofeez. “This strengthens the private sector’s role in driving national economic growth.”
Ms Mofeez noted the manufacturing sector’s 14 per cent contribution to Bahrain’s GDP in Q4 2023 and emphasised Tamkeen’s focus on bolstering this sector’s growth.
“By providing a global platform for Bahraini firms, we aim to foster meaningful connections and partnerships with industry leaders,” she said. “This elevates the local F&B landscape and contributes to the kingdom’s sustainable economic development.”
Export Bahrain chief executive Safa Abdulkhaliq echoed the commitment to supporting the F&B sector. “Our partnership with Tamkeen reflects our dedication to enhancing the success of Bahraini F&B enterprises,” she said. “We’re excited to showcase the diverse range of Bahraini products and services on a global stage.”
Meanwhile, in a separate statement Tamkeen said a delegation led by Ms Mofeez visited the offices of Eskan Bank and held meetings with key representatives.
Discussions focused on Eskan Bank’s expansion plans, incorporating their valuable feedback, and exploring how Tamkeen’s support programmes can fuel the bank’s growth trajectory.
