A TOTAL of 255 buildings have been found in violation of security and safety requirements.
This followed inspection visits by officials from the Capital Governorate, in co-operation with the relevant government agencies, to 313 workers’ housing, workshops and warehouses in the governorate.
The aim behind the inspections was to monitor and correct violations, whether from irregular workers or buildings and housing that are used for purposes other than what they were intended for, or for violations of health, security and safety.
Legal measures were taken against the violating buildings, and the necessary measures were taken to correct the conditions of other buildings and ensure that they met the standards and conditions.
The inspection teams also visited nine workshops and stores in the Salhiya area, according to the recommendation of the governorate’s security committee, and monitored a number of violations related to security and safety, in preparation for the concerned authorities to take legal measures against them to amend their conditions.
