UPDATE: The Interior Ministry has confirmed today on social media platform X that the incident involving a 27-year-old man threatening to harm himself at a petrol station in Manama had occurred two months ago.
Legal action had been taken against the accused at the time.
Video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media now. It shows police tackling a man in an ‘agitated state’ who appeared to be threatening to set fire to a fuel line at the petrol station.
