A delegation from the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation’s (OIC) ombudsman general secretariat visited specialised ombudsman bodies in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Ombudsman Association of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OICOA). The delegation discussed ways to enhance co-operation and exchange of expertise. Discussions also extended to broader international co-operation initiatives. During the visit of the Bahraini delegation, Almas Govinda, executive secretary of the Ombudsman Organisation of Pakistan, stressed the success of the international training and qualification programmes provided by the organisation, expressing optimism about expanding these initiatives to include other OIC member states.
