Asterion Systems, a leading provider of advanced drone detection and counter-drone solutions, has announced plans to establish a regional office in Bahrain.
The decision follows the company’s successful participation in the recent Bahrain International Airshow 2024 and a strategic partnership with IronNet Cybersecurity.
“Bahrain’s strategic location and growing importance as a regional hub for innovation and technology make it an ideal location for Asterion to expand its global footprint,” said Andre B. Mustert, a key figure at Asterion Systems.
“Our partnership with IronNet will further strengthen our capabilities in providing cutting-edge solutions to address the evolving threat landscape.”
Asterion’s solutions are designed to detect, track, and mitigate drone threats. Their advanced systems utilise AI, machine learning, and sensor networks to analyse vast amounts of data and identify potential risks. The company’s flagship product, the HitchHiker Orion interception drone, is a high-speed, long-range interceptor capable of neutralising hostile drones.
“The collaboration between Asterion and IronNet aims to deliver a comprehensive, layered defence solution that protects critical infrastructure and national borders,” Mr Mustert added.
“By combining our expertise in drone detection and counter-drone technologies with IronNet’s advanced cybersecurity capabilities, we can offer unparalleled protection against a wide range of threats.”
With the establishment of a regional office in Bahrain, Asterion Systems is poised to become a key player in the Middle East’s growing security market. The company’s innovative solutions and strategic partnerships will contribute to the region’s efforts to enhance security and safeguard critical infrastructure.
