Bahrain Tender Board has won the 2024 European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Award from the Swiss-based European Society for Quality Research, headquartered in Switzerland.
The award recognises the board’s commitment to the highest quality standards and its excellence in providing highly efficient services in the field of government procurement.
Bahrain Tender Board secretary general Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi received the award during an awards ceremony in Vienna, Austria. It was attended by an elite gathering of experts and decision-makers from around the world, and representatives from both public and private sectors.
Mr Al Alawi expressed his pride in the honour, noting that the achievement reflects continuous efforts to develop innovative, efficient and high-quality services in accordance with the best international practices.
He emphasised the Tender Board’s commitment to enhancing government procurement practices and systems with high degree of effectiveness and efficiency through a regulatory governance mechanism designed to establish justice and equal opportunities.
