Bahrain's Manama has been ranked as the "world’s fourth best travel destination" in the 'Trending - World' category on the TripAdvisor index.
TripAdvisor is an American online company that provides travel-related information ranging from hotels, attractions, and restaurants worldwide. It has reviews and ratings, booking services, informative travel forums, travel guides, and trip-planning tools.
The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title "celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel," as stated on the TripAdvisors’ website. It is awarded to places that receive a significant amount of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a span of twelve months.
This month, Manama remarkably ranked 4th out of the 25 countries that made it to the list. Out of TripAdvisor’s eight million listings, less than 1% achieved this milestone.
Japan's Osaka took the first position, followed by Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur and Argentina's Buenos Aires respectively.
Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage, combined with its modern nightlife and variety of exquisite restaurants, makes it an attractive option for travellers.
The website describes Manama as a "major financial centre with a thriving economy". The description further says, "A surplus of money has decorated the skyline with glass and steel spires, and plans for the tallest tower in the world.
