Bahrain yesterday welcomed the decision of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) to appoint Hussein Al Sheikh as its deputy president and Deputy President of the State of Palestine.
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s steadfast support for the PLO, the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, in its reform efforts to enhance institutional development, strengthen national unity and pursue the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people .
