An Arab national had been arrested over an alleged social media fraud involving the false advertising of chalets and camping equipment for rent at nominal prices.
Necessary legal measures have been taken. The General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security at the Interior Ministry has cautioned people to beware of similar online scams and to report any activities they believe are bogus.
It stressed the need to report fraud cases through the “MyGov” application or call the hotline (992) to take the necessary measures.
