The Education Ministry has ordered an ‘administrative investigation’ into a private school over the distribution of a questionnaire to students that included questions that allegedly ‘contravened religious principles and common sense’.
The ministry has been in correspondence with several parents and, as a result, it has taken the decision to investigate the school’s leadership and its administration.
One member of staff has been dismissed and further measures regarding the ‘blatant violation’ may follow.
The ministry stated that it will not tolerate any educational institution that deviates from the path of performing its educational mission, and that its role was to monitor educational institutions to ensure that all of them comply with government rules and regulations, foremost among which are national and religious principles and established customs.
Parents at the British curriculum school told the GDN that the children were asked to fill in an anonymous ‘woke’ questionnaire which included matters concerning gender issues.
The GDN has reached out to senior staff at the school for comment and one call was cut off before the reporter could introduce herself.
