A proposal to construct a concrete staircase along the sloped Hunainiyah Avenue has been unanimously approved by the Southern Municipal Council.
The initiative, submitted by area councillor Khalid Shajra, follows growing concerns over pedestrian safety and access in the area, particularly during rainy weather when soil and rock collapses occur on the sloped pathway .
