A COLLECTIVE art exhibition featuring Gulf artists and blending authenticity with innovation was hosted by the K Hotel.
Shura Council financial and economic affairs committee vice-chairman Redha Faraj was chief guest at the event’s opening, which showcased a vibrant display of artistic talent and cultural engagement.
The expo, titled O’tad, featured a diverse collection of artwork, ranging from abstract and classical to nature-inspired and symbolic expressions, creating a rich artistic experience that reflects the unique perspectives of the participating artists.
Taking part in the event, organised in partnership with prominent Bahraini artist Ali Alfardan, were five distinguished artists from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Iraq: Sayed Hasan Alsari, Mr Alfardan, Abdulilah Alrayes, Mahdih Al Talib and Mazin Ahmed.
K Hotel chairman Khalid Kanoo expressed pride in hosting the event and reaffirmed the hotel’s commitment to supporting local and regional creativity.
Mr Faraj praised the high artistic calibre on display.
“The exhibition is rich in artistic diversity, combining various styles and themes in an innovative manner,” he said.
“It reflects the artists’ emotions and their engagement with society, conveying important human and cultural messages.”
He also stressed the importance of supporting local artists, particularly youth.
Mr Alfardan explained that the title symbolised the concepts of grounding and stability represented by the artwork.
“O’tad are the stakes that support a tent, and each artist here holds their stake in a unique way, presenting their art to the audience.
“We aimed to select artists with distinctive artistic voices who offer diverse perspectives. Each piece tells its own story, bridging Manama, Baghdad and Jeddah.”
K Hotel chief executive Hussain Al Samahiji expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event.
“We are honoured that the K Hotel serves as a launchpad for exceptional art exhibitions that enrich Bahrain’s cultural landscape.
“Our support for artists stems from our belief in the role of art in enhancing tourism and culture, and we aspire to host even larger exhibitions across the Arab world in the future.”
