In a major milestone reflecting the strong presence of Bahraini executives in the regional economic arena, Bahraini Mazen Khoury has been selected by Forbes Middle East magazine as one of the most powerful global executives in the Middle East.
Mr Khoury, CEO of American Express - Middle East and North Africa, was included in the magazine’s annual “Global Meets Local” list for 2025, which highlights international leaders driving the operations of major global companies across the Mena region, ranked 37 amongst the top 100.
Mr Khoury oversees regional operations for American Express, one of the world’s leading financial services providers.
According to Forbes Middle East, the 2025 list features 100 executives representing companies that are part of the Forbes Global 2000 list.
These executives come from 42 different nationalities, underscoring the region’s leadership diversity. Notably, Mr Khoury is the only Bahraini to be included in the ranking.
