The Bahrain Chamber has reaffirmed its commitment to playing a vital role in representing the interests of the private sector and enhancing the national economic landscape by fostering an attractive business environment and adopting forward-thinking initiatives aligning with market needs.
The chamber also emphasised its strong commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with both government and private entities, and continuing its collaboration on innovative solutions to economic challenges – supporting business owners and entrepreneurs and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional economic hub.
“As part of our commitment to maintaining close communication with the country’s leadership, we had the honour of holding meetings with His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister,” the chamber noted in a statement issued ahead of its 85th anniversary today.
“These meetings focused on discussing ways to further enhance Bahrain’s business environment and support the private sector’s central role in achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030,” the statement added.
The chamber expressed its deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their unwavering support and patronage of the chamber’s initiatives, and for their continued efforts to empower the private sector and bolster its contribution to national economic development.
Furthermore, the chamber highlighted its efforts to activate public-private partnerships through strategic dialogues and impactful initiatives aimed at aligning economic visions and developing growth-oriented policies.
These efforts included the ‘Bab Al Bahrain Forum’, along with the successful implementation of 22 initiatives as part of its 30th-term strategic plan to support business and investment.
Additionally, the chamber provided input on several legislative proposals, launched the second edition of its Experts Bank to support economic decision-making and took part in training programmes to develop national talent in the healthcare sector.
At the regional and international fronts, the chamber highlighted its success during its presidency of the Union of Arab Chambers in strengthening economic and trade relations between Arab countries and global markets.
This was accomplished through a series of initiatives, meetings and activities aimed at opening new avenues for investment and trade co-operation, while also enhancing the Arab presence in international economic forums.
The chamber described its presidency of the union as a strategic opportunity to advance Arab economic integration, using it to strengthen communication channels between the Arab business community and its global counterparts, co-ordinate responses to economic challenges and foster partnerships that serve the interests of the Arab private sector and enhance its global competitiveness.
