Kuwait has scrapped a rule that required a minimum salary for family tourist visas.
The updated rules come as Kuwait revamps its tourist and visit visa rules. Travellers can now choose from six different visa types for visiting the Gulf country.
Kuwait has also removed the "national carrier" requirement, which mandated that visitors arrive by either Kuwait Airways or Jazeera Airways. Previously, passengers using other airlines were denied entry. The removal of this requirement means visitors can now arrive by air, land, or sea.
Kuwait's Interior Ministry has also launched the Kuwait Visa platform, which enables applicants to apply for visas online, instead of visiting the Residency Affairs Department. The platform is available as a website and as a mobile application.
It was also announced that no nationality would be categorically barred from entering Kuwait, if the requirements are met.
