Kuwaiti Defence Minister Shaikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defence said the meeting addressed existing coordination between the armed forces of the two countries, opportunities to develop cooperation, and an exchange of views on several topics related to bilateral relations, all aimed at supporting and developing defence cooperation between the two friendly nations.
The statement added that the meeting, which took place within the framework of the official visit to Pakistan, was also attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieu. Gen. Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, and the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Islamabad, Nassar Al-Mutairi.
It further explained that the Minister of Defence returned to the country this evening and was received, along with his accompanying delegation, by the Chairman of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation, Shaikh Engineer Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Maj. Gen. Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and members of the Military Defence Council.
