Bahrain has congratulated US President Donald Trump on the landmark agreement to end the war in Gaza and voiced support for all efforts at consolidating peace.
His Majesty King Hamad yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to US President Donald Trump expressing appreciation for President Trump’s efforts to ensure the success of the agreement.
The achievement represents a positive step towards achieving stability, and in supporting the peace process in the region, he said.
The King commended President Trump’s role in launching this historic initiative.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also reaffirmed the kingdom’s support for the agreement to end the war.
The deal marked an historic day of peace for the Middle East and the world, HRH Prince Salman said during a telephone call he received from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio yesterday.
They discussed the latest regional and international developments, notably the Gaza agreement.
HRH Prince Salman expressed both His Majesty’s and his own gratitude to President Donald Trump for his unwavering support for peace in the Middle East and his direct role in securing this landmark agreement.
He underscored the importance of all parties in the conflict to honour their commitments and responsibilities to ensure its full implementation.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also commended the efforts of the mediators whose contributions were instrumental in bringing the agreement to fruition.
The strength of Bahrain-US relations was highlighted, with both sides noting that the partnership continues to deepen through strategic co-operation and joint agreements, particularly the recent Comprehensive Security Integration
and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
HRH Prince Salman concluded by reaffirming mutual commitment to further enhance bilateral partnership in support of shared goals and aspirations.
