The Sultanate of Oman today took part in World Leaders Climate Action Summit held in the city of Belém, Brazil, to discuss urgent measures to cut down the volume of global warming.
The meeting was held in the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which begins on 10 November 2025, with the participation of 200 countries.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the World Leaders Climate Action Summit was led by Dr Abdullah Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority.
During the meeting, Oman affirmed its willingness to highlight global efforts on controlling climate change. It also outlined its vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
