National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) chairman Ali Al Derazi, on the 16th anniversary of the institution, affirmed that the progress achieved in Bahrain’s human rights work reflects institutional efforts based on professionalism and independence aimed at promoting justice and equality in line with international standards.
Mr Al Derazi said the NIHR was established on November 10, 2009 under a royal initiative by His Majesty King Hamad, whose support and guidance have enabled the institution to perform its duties with independence and responsibility .
