On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad, Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received the audited financial statements of National Audit Office (NAO) for the fiscal year 2024/2025 from Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of NAO.
Shaikh Khalid praised the efforts of the NAO, noting its work in protecting public funds, checking that spending is legal and proper, maintaining high productivity and efficiency, and using resources in the best way to achieve the country’s national goals.
Shaikh Ahmed highlighted that in the past professional year, 104 oversight tasks were completed, resulting in the issuance of 84 reports, in addition to 104 follow-up reports aimed at verifying that the audited entities had implemented the recommendations made in previous years; approximately 1,224 recommendations were also issued.
