The Education Ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the British Council to enhance co-operation in English language learning and support government school students by providing access to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
The signing was attended by Education Minister Dr Mohammed Mubarak Juma, British Ambassador Alastair Long, and senior officials from both the ministry and the council.
The MoU was signed by Education Ministry Under-Secretary Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, and British Council deputy chief executive officer Kate Ewart-Biggs.
