MPs unanimously approved an urgent proposal calling for strict oversight of shops offering instalment payment plans, following mounting complaints that some businesses – particularly electronics retailers – are exploiting customers and trapping them with massive debts.
The proposal was referred to the Cabinet for immediate action .
