The Information Ministry is set to launch the fifth edition of the National Day Festival tomorrow at the Heritage Village in Ras Hayyan.
The festival, which will run until December 28, opens with performances by the Bahraini Choir, which will present national musical pieces that highlight Bahrain’s artistic heritage. The choir will deliver four special concerts throughout the event.
Traditional performances will continue with the Al Kray Team, offering authentic folk shows that reflect Bahrain’s cultural legacy. Five additional Bahraini heritage groups will participate with daily shows and two weekend performances.
This year’s edition features expanded interactive experiences, including workshops in pottery, traditional ship model building, palm-frond weaving, wooden chest crafting, and textile weaving, giving visitors hands-on insight into traditional Bahraini craftsmanship.
The Heritage Village will also host a traditional market showcasing local vendors and productive families, a dedicated children’s area, and food stations offering traditional Bahraini cuisine.
The festival is organised in co-operation with several ministries and government entities, and is supported by sponsors including the National Bank of Bahrain, Al Kooheji Contractors, Cebarco, Beyon, Souq Al Baraha, and the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
The village will welcome visitors on opening day from 6.30pm to midnight, and thereafter from 4pm to 11pm on weekdays, and from 4pm to midnight on weekends throughout the festival period.
