Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a police officer who allegedly arranged deportations of expatriates in exchange for bribes.
According to security sources, the officer allegedly accepted payments of KD500 (BD614) to file false accusations and forge reports against unsuspecting victims. He then used these fabricated charges to threaten arrest and force deportation.
The officer has confessed to all charges before the Public Prosecution, admitting to abusing his position for personal gain.
Authorities have launched an investigation to identify affected individuals and reverse the wrongful deportations.
