It looked like a scene straight out of a blockbuster disaster movie. Dramatic footage captured the collapse of Lady Liberty amid a violent storm — though not the statue you would expect.
A replica of the Statue of Liberty in the Brazilian city of Guaiba tumbled over and smashed to the ground during a severe storm on Monday afternoon.
No injuries were reported, according to local authorities and the company that owned the structure.

The 40-metre-tall replica, installed in the car park of a retail megastore, was hit by intense winds as a line of storms moved across southern Brazil.
Video footage shows the statue swaying under the force of the gusts before giving way and crashing to the ground. The head of the statue was crushed to pieces upon impact.
The mayor of Guaiba, Marcelo Maranata, said there were no casualties and praised the quick response at the site. He added that local teams worked alongside state Civil Defence officials to secure the perimeter and check for any additional damage nearby.
