Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, discussed means to enhance bilateral relations and promote shared development within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the meeting took place during President Aliyev’s visit to the UAE, during which he attended the opening of Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025.
Both sides reiterated their shared commitment to broadening cooperation, particularly in development, the economy, investment, food security, renewable energy, sustainability, and other areas.
They noted that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed by the two countries in July 2025 represents a major step forward in their economic relations and will have important outcomes within the framework of their advanced development partnership.
The two leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them.
