Bahrain has welcomed the decision of the United States administration to lift sanctions imposed on Syria under the Caesar Act.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed the kingdom’s appreciation of this decision, commending the efforts of US President Donald Trump in this regard.
The ministry conveyed the kingdom’s congratulations to the Syrian leadership and government on the issuance of the decision, which is expected to support efforts to enhance stability and advance recovery, reconstruction and development.
The ministry also underscored Bahrain’s solidarity with the Syrian people and its support for efforts aimed at maintaining Syria’s security and stability, safeguarding its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and fulfilling the aspirations of its people for peace, growth and prosperity.
