The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Upon arrival, HRH was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence Affairs, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, the BDF Chief of Staff, and several other senior officials.
He highlighted the BDF's ongoing progress and combat readiness, which continues to be supported by His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
HRH commended the BDF personnel's efforts in fulfilling their national duty and stressed the continued training of the force to ensure the highest levels of readiness and preparedness.
He commended the loyalty and sacrifice of the BDF going on to emphasise their role in fulfilling national duties and supporting the Kingdom’s comprehensive development goals.
HRH was briefed on the BDF’s strategic plans, programmes, and projects, which are being implemented to enhance its overall combat readiness.
He expressed his gratitude to Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa for his role in advancing the BDF's overall development.
HRH emphasised the BDF’s role, alongside its allies, in safeguarding security and stability.
He concluded by expressing his gratitude to all the BDF’s personnel, wishing them further success in their noble role of safeguarding Bahrain and its citizens.
