TENNIS – HIS Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa received yesterday tennis superstar and men’s world number one Carlos Alcaraz of Spain.
Shaikh Khalid posted photos of Alcaraz’s visit on his official social media page with the message: “An honour to host you in your second country, Bahrain champion.”
Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid presented Alcaraz with commemorative gifts, including a shirt of Bahrain-owned Spanish football club Cordoba CF.
Alcaraz was also spotted yesterday at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir, where he attended the second day of Formula One Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2026.
Alcaraz visited the team’s garages and their buildings in BIC’s F1 paddock, and met with some of the sport’s top drivers, including countrymen Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz.
Alcaraz was accompanied on his trip to BIC by high-ranking officials from the kingdom.
