An eighth suspect has been arrested as part of an alleged gang of robbers, who have been accused of stealing BD800,000 worth of gold bars and valuables from a house.
According to the Public Prosecution, investigations are ongoing, and the eight young defendants will stand criminal trial once the probe is completed.
"It appears that three of the defendants took advantage of the fact that the house was empty," read the statement.
"They then handed over the stolen goods to five others to hide them, and they were aware that the items were stolen.
The GDN earlier reported that the alleged thieves were aged between 18 and 23.
