Two special education students at A’ali Primary School for Boys have successfully integrated into a mainstream classroom this academic year.
The school’s special education co-ordinator, Jalila Al Sayed Adnan, expressed pride in the achievement, bringing the total number of fully integrated students since the launch of its autism support programme to seven.
Integration begins with enrolment in a dedicated class titled ‘The Little Angel’, which provides a supportive learning environment focused on teaching through play and discovery.
The programme uses digital strategies and visual aids, including virtual reality in mathematics and science. It also helps students develop thinking skills while enhancing independence and self-confidence.
Ms Adnan highlighted the significant progress made in the students’ educational, behavioural, psychological and social development, and commended the efforts of teachers Fadila Al Sayed Abbas and Fatima Fardan, along with the school administration.
