Three suspects were arrested within less than 10 hours of a reported break-in at a money exchange company, where cash in various currencies worth an estimated BD600,000 was stolen, the Interior Ministry announced last night.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said a specialised team was immediately formed and dispatched to the site, where officers carried out an inspection, collected physical evidence and gathered initial information.
Search and investigation efforts led to the identification and tracking of the suspects, who were subsequently arrested in possession of the stolen cash.
Legal action has been taken, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
