Pokémon fans around the world will have a new go-to destination when the world’s first Pokémon-themed airport opens in Japan this summer.
The ‘Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport’ is set to open on July 7, 2026, in Ishikawa Prefecture. Previously known as Noto Satoyama Airport, the facility has been renamed and redecorated as part of the region's ongoing recovery efforts following the devastating 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
The complete redesign includes large-scale Pokémon decorations throughout the terminal, exclusive merchandise in the gift shops, themed food offerings, and special transport links across the peninsula.
The airport’s atrium will feature a two-storey balloon display showcasing Pikachu alongside an aircraft, surrounded by installations of various Flying-type Pokémon.
The themed airport is scheduled to remain in operation until September 2029.
According to Ishikawa Prefecture and the Pokémon With You Foundation, the facility is the first airport in the world to officially carry the Pokémon name.
