GOLF – HIS Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa participated in the 50th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy, which is being held at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Morocco.
The tournament is taking place under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, with the participation of an elite group of players.
Shaikh Nasser took to the fairways with a team consisting of Hamad Al Marisi, Abdullah bin Zaidan, and Scottish legend Colin Montgomerie.
Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the Hassan II Golf Trophy is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the sport, due to its outstanding organisation and great international standing, and praised the advanced sports infrastructure and facilities provided by Morocco, which have contributed to consolidating the tournament’s international stature.
Shaikh Nasser explained that participating in such tournaments is an important opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen sports relations, in addition to gaining more experience in golf through external forums.
Shaikh Nasser praised the excellent organisational atmosphere of the tournament, and wished all participants success.
