Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Yvette Cooper, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
The two sides reviewed GCC-UK ties, affirming that the signing of the joint statement concluding negotiations on the free trade agreement between the GCC and the UK marked a new and well-established phase in GCC-British ties.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments and underscored the importance of intensifying international and regional efforts to enhance security and stability.
