MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-BRITISH motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport showed their strong pace yesterday in the three test sessions of rounds two and three in the 2026 British GT Championship, taking place this weekend at Oulton Park in England.
2 Seas, co-owned by Bahrian’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, had one of their two cars in the top six of each test’s timesheet.
Kevin Tse and Ben Green steered their #18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to fifth in test one and then were classified sixth in the second runs. Their teammates Ian Loggie and Aaron Walker in 2 Seas’ #15 Mercedes-AMG were then fourth-quickest in yesterday’s third test, ending the day with the fastest lap time between the pair.
The meeting now heads to another packed day of action today with free practice at 11.30am, pre-qualifying at 2pm, and qualifying at 5.35pm. A break will be held tomorrow and then action will resume on Monday with two hour-long races – the first beginning at 1.05pm and the second at 5.45pm. All times are Bahrain.
2 Seas are the British GT’s defending GT3 teams’ champions, while their pairing of Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss won the GT3 drivers’ title last year but have moved on to compete with 2 Seas in the GT World Challenge Europe this season.
In yesterday’s first test, Tse and Green clocked a best lap of one minute 34.770 seconds – finishing 1.021s from pace-setters Simon Orange and Marcus Clutton of Orange Racing by JMH, competing in their #67 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
Loggie and Walker followed in 11th amongst the 24-car classification with a fastest time of 1:35.519.
In the second session, Tse and Green continued to lead the team with an improved top mark of 1:34.290. They were just 0.579s behind top-ranked Morgan Tillbrook and Ben Barnicoat of Optimum Motorsport, hitting the track in their #77McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
Loggie and Walker cracked the top 10 with a best lap of 1:34.553.
The third test session saw Loggie and Walker this time step it up and register 2 Seas’ leading mark of 1:33.471 – the team’s fastest yesterday and a mere 0.130s from Rodin Motorsport’s Cameron Campbell and Joshua Buchan, who topped the timesheet in their #13 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
Tse and Green put both cars in the leading 10 with a quickest lap of 1:34.628.
2 Seas are hoping to bounce back from a tough season-opening round last month in Silverstone, where they fielded a three-car entry. Only their #15 car – driven by Walker and then-partner Andrew Gilbert – reached the chequered flag, taking eighth overall. Tse and Green did not finish, as did Dawson and Jewiss, who were making a one-off appearance in this British GT campaign in their #1 Mercedes-AMG.
The British GT Championship features eight rounds in its 2026 calendar. Following this weekend’s events, round four will be held on June 20 and 21 at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Rounds five and six will then take place on August 15 and 16 at Snetterton Circuit, while round seven will be on September 5 and 6 at Donington Park. The eighth and final round will then be held on September 26 and 27 at Brands Hatch.
