A series of celebrations and recreational activities aimed at bringing together children battling cancer and their parents in an atmosphere filled with warmth and joy will be held throughout Eid Al Adha.
Organised by the Bahrain Future Society for Youth’s Smile Initiative, these events are aimed at ensuring that the children do not miss out on the atmosphere of religious, national and social occasions.
Plans include entertainment programmes, competitions and the distribution of Eid gifts to directly contribute to raising their spirits and strengthening their mental and emotional resilience.
Society chairman Sabah Al Zayani stated that the initiative has involved intensive preparations and arrangements to ensure that smiles remain on the children’s faces while strengthening community bonds between volunteers and families.
“Sustaining joy in the hearts of brave children fighting cancer is not merely a seasonal objective, it is a promise that the society, through the Smile Initiative, has upheld since the very first day of its establishment,” said Mr Al Zayani. “We believe that the battle against this illness requires emotional strength that matches and supports ongoing medical treatment.”
The programmes and venues are expected to be finalised in the coming days.
