As part of ongoing government efforts to improve service quality and re-engineer public services, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has developed the labour supply agency licence issuance service.
The licence is issued in two stages: the initial approval stage and the licence issuance stage.
The new digital service enables the licensee to supply workers to a third party for a specified period or to complete a specific task without supervision by the employer (the supplier) over the execution of the work.
Under the enhanced service, the completion time has been reduced from 20 working days to 15, the service level agreement has been reduced by a minimum of 25 per cent, the application process has been streamlined to a maximum of four steps, and service information has been unified across all published channels.
Operations and Services Deputy CEO Ahmed Ibrahim Al Arabi said that the service comes as part of the authority’s adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance service efficiency, contribute to facilitating and simplifying procedures and improve the beneficiary experience, in support of the competitiveness of the labour market environment and in line with the government’s digital transformation approach.
Mr Al Arabi added that the launch of the service reflects the LMRA’s commitment to developing its services in a manner that reduces time and effort for establishments and enhances the effectiveness of the labour system.
As part of continuous government efforts to develop and re-engineer public services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with 800 services undergoing development.
