THE Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has enhanced its public map purchase and enquiry services, introducing new digital options and a more efficient process.
As part of ongoing efforts to improve service quality, the new digital services enable contracting companies, real estate developers and entities involved in cadastral (public) mapping activities to purchase maps and enquire about applications electronically through bahrain.bh, the national portal.
“The service reflects the bureau’s commitment to continuing the development of its digital services ecosystem in line with the highest standards, enhancing service quality, improving operational efficiency, streamlining procedures and improving the user experience,” SLRB president Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamar explained.
Processing time for purchase applications has been reduced from three working days to one.
The number of application steps has been reduced to a maximum of four.
Cadastral map enquiries can now be completed instantly online, whereas previously they took one working day.
The service level agreement has also been reduced by at least 25 per cent.
Mr Al Hamar added that the bureau remains committed to continuously developing and updating its services to reduce time and effort and improve the efficiency of its operational system.
As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors.
This is based on proposals and feedback received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints (Tawasul), investor feedback and secret shopper reports evaluating government services, in addition to the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements.
