Proposal to open seafront hotel shores for fishermen
Great idea but it should depend on the execution.
@asrafjahangir
This hasn’t been well thought out. Practically speaking, let’s just imagine that a ‘fisherman’ has a boat that is to the standards or a beach resort charter, they will then require a tour operating licence for one, and two … how does that help with their additional fishing haul?
The tourism aspect of this proposal is just a disguise to open the fishing spots. Imagine laying bait traps in the middle of Bahrain Bay and then having recreational activities around. The risk, including high odds of an accident happening is surely not worth it.
The MPs’ justification is not having enough launch sites – there is already a large amount of undeveloped coastline, surely they can put a proposal together to identify appropriate areas and petition to establish a port and ramp.

Better than crazy jet skis.
@peerkroner
That won’t look good at all.

This proposal will never see the light of day (and not for any political reason).

Council approves proposal to scrap walkway plan
This is the worst decision ever! The plot of land will be used for building 20 or 30 houses which will accommodate around 120 to 180 people. While the walkway will serve hundreds of people from the area and will give them a space to relax and practise sport.
It’s crazy to have towns and cities without spaces with pedestrian pathways and recreational facilities for children.
These spaces have many benefits such as
Enhancing the quality of life within densely-populated areas.
Providing accessible recreation without requiring residents to travel far.
Contributing to a more balanced and liveable urban environment.
This could be the worst decision ever taken by a municipality and should be reversed by the government immediately.

Councillors seek improvements to Muharraq Ring Road connectivity
Building neighbourhoods where you can get access to everything by foot is better than spreading everything out because of how much space you need for cars.

More lanes ... more roads ... more asphalt is always the solution.

Help find Reem: Family offers BD500 reward for missing gazelle
These species are always familiar to their home range, they have the ability to spot trees, surrounding areas where they eat, sleep, etc usually up to one square mile. Unless someone has intentionally taken her off when she was spotted. I hope the sweet baby returns back to her family, praying for her.
